Thinking in Metaphor

Throughout my life, I’ve always used metaphors to map out how I feel and think. It’s a tool that comes naturally to me—partly because I’m a visual thinker, but mostly because metaphor and intuition are deeply intertwined. One constantly inspires the other.

My intuition sparks my imagination, which then creates the perfect metaphor. It takes something abstract and shapes it into something real, allowing me to express deep truths in a way that others can truly see, feel, and digest.

Why This Matters for You

In coaching, we often deal with thoughts and emotions that feel too big or too tangled for ordinary words. That’s where metaphor becomes a superpower.

It bridges the gap: It turns a complex internal roadblock into a visual landscape we can actually navigate.

It shifts perspective: When we change the metaphor, we change the story.

It unlocks clarity: It speaks directly to the subconscious, bypasses the overthinking mind, and gets straight to the heart of the matter.

I don't just want to hear what you are going through; I want to see how you see it.

Together, we can rewrite the imagery of your life.

Room For Vulnerability

It All Begins Here

Embracing vulnerability in the workplace isn’t about unfiltered oversharing; it is a strategic tool for building trust and psychological safety.

When leaders and team members judiciously share their challenges, mistakes, or uncertainties, they humanize themselves and dismantle the exhausting myth of perfection. This grounded transparency inspires others to innovate without the paralyzing fear of failure. The key lies in purposeful vulnerability—sharing a struggle alongside the lesson learned or the path forward, ensuring the disclosure serves to connect and motivate the team rather than burden them.

Greeting Your Day…

It All Begins Here

Attitude and routine can—and will—make a massive difference. I like to begin my day with an early rise and a thorough stretch, taking intentional time to loosen my body and prepare for the day ahead. Meditation is another essential practice I have brought into my life. While I don’t always hit the mark perfectly, consistency is my daily aim.

It is these small, deliberate steps that allow us to become ready and steady for the day to come. With regular practice comes a powerful byproduct:

Physical Resilience: Stretching allows the physical body to adapt to an ever-changing environment

Mental Resilience: Meditation trains the mind to remain anchored in the midst of storms

The cumulative effect of intentionally setting your day is the ability to flex and remain calm in the face of tension. Take time—make time—for yourself. You will benefit immensely, and so will everyone who encounters you.

Humility Is Power!

It All Begins Here

True humility is not about thinking less of yourself; it’s about thinking of yourself less.

In a world that often confuses loudness with leadership, humility operates as a quiet, formidable power. When you approach situations without the burden of an oversized ego, you unlock a profound capacity for continuous learning and self-correction. Because humble individuals do not feel the need to always be the smartest person in the room, they are uniquely positioned to listen deeply, absorb new perspectives, and adapt to changing realities. This flexibility makes them incredibly resilient; while rigid arrogance fractures under pressure, humility bends, learns, and ultimately triumphs.

Furthermore, humility is a magnetic force that builds unbreakable trust and authentic influence. True power lies not in forcing compliance, but in inspiring loyalty, and nothing dissolves interpersonal barriers faster than a leader who owns their mistakes and elevates others. By shifting the focus from personal validation to collective success, humble people foster environments where collaboration thrives and innovation is safe. They gain authority not by demanding it, but because their security in who they are allows them to empower everyone around them. Ultimately, humility is the ultimate power because it is rooted in reality, self-mastery, and an unshakeable inner confidence that doesn't rely on the applause of others to stand tall.
